Super Sports Day

22 June 2018 By spidrwebadmin

Thank you to everyone who came to join us for today’s Sports Day. The children were all fantastic and it was clear to see some amazing sportsmanship in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. We were extremely pleased that the weather was warm so that we could all enjoy our picnic outside. Well done to Green House, St Theresa, for being overall winners.

Residential Trip

15 June 2018 By spidrwebadmin

Year 5 and 6 children had an amazing time on their trip to Northumberland, earlier this week. The first day was spent visiting Holy Island, the second day was a busy day in Edinburgh, exploring the zoo and castle, and the final day took us to Bamburgh to learn about the history of the castle.

All of the children had a fantastic time and their behaviour was superb. It was so nice to have received lots of comments from the Explore4All staff, staff at the youth hostel and tour guides about how respectful the children were.

Here are some pictures from our trip. More will be sent home by the end of term for children who wish to have them.

Thanks to all of the children, staff and Explore4All team for a great few days away.

Parliament Workshops

8 June 2018 By spidrwebadmin

KS2 had a fantastic time today learning all about Parliament. We took part in an assembly, had a visit from our MP, Graeme Morris, and took part in some workshops. British Values are an important aspect of our curriculum and the children found out some fascinating information about how our country is governed.

Super Scarecrow

5 June 2018 By spidrwebadmin

We really enjoyed taking part in the Shotton Scarecrow Festival. Look at the fantastic scarecrow which some of our Year 5/6 children built with Mr Baldaseras. A group of our younger children then helped Miss Drake to add the finishing touches. Well done to everyone involved.

Celebrating Reading – World Book Day

24 May 2018 By spidrwebadmin

We have had a fantastic day celebrating reading. Thank you to all of the family members who came to school to support the children in their quest to decorate their classroom door based on works by Roald Dahl and Rudyard Kipling.

We have been so pleased to receive all of your wonderful feedback based on this year’s session. Below are a few comments from family members in school with us today.

“The morning was excellent and we really enjoyed the activities. We look forward to doing it again next year.”

“We enjoyed the session and the ability to flow between different classes. Children in different classes were catered for so no child missed out.”

“I found this event to be so lovely, the children all worked so well and were beautifully behaved and well mannered. Thank- you for the opportunity.”

Here are the final doors which have been decorated beautifully by the children and staff.

Class R – The Jungle Book

Class 1 – The Enormous Crocodile

The Nest – The Gruffalo

Class 2- George’s Marvelous Medicine

Class 3 – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Class 4 – The BFG

Matilda

24 May 2018 By spidrwebadmin

Everyone in Year 2 to Year 6 had an amazing time at Matilda yesterday. We thought the singing and dancing was amazing and the acting from all of the children was superb. Children throughout Year 2 – Year 6 represented our school beautifully and they all said how much they had enjoyed their experience.

Bags2School

27 April 2018 By spidrwebadmin

Thank you to all of our children and families for their donations towards Bags2School. All of the children had a great time in their non-uniform and we now have a huge amount of bags with lots of clothes and shoes.

The collection for these bags will take place this Thursday, so if you do have any other unwanted clothes or shoes, please bring them in to school before then.

Thank you again for your continued support.
