Class 6 worked hard this morning to explore the meaning of ‘love’. We looked at examples of people showing love in newspapers and in a range of video clips and music. Mrs Wright was so impressed with how thoughtful and mature our discussions were.

We have all been partnered up with a buddy from Year 5 and 6.
They help us to learn our new routines, with our school dinners and they’re there to play with us at playtime.
We’re all such good friends already!
Here are some of the photos for the Mountain group. Once again we were very impressed with the excellent attitudes of all of our children during our trip.
The children from Years 5/6 had an amazing time on their residential to Robinwood. All of our children showed determination, resilience and exemplary manners and everyone who met them commented on their excellent attitude and behaviour- we are so proud. While we were away, during the day, the children were split into two groups (Mountains and Crags) and we took photos on two different iPads. We had problems when trying to upload the photos whilst at Robinwood. We’ ve managed to upload these photos from one of our iPads, we’ll update the blog again on Monday with the other photos. We hope you enjoy looking through the photos of our adventure and get a flavour of the risks that were taken, the fears that were overcome, the fun that was had and the special memories that were made.

We all gathered in the hall to sing the Big Play songs we have been learning. We even learnt how to perform them using sign language! Well Done Everyone!!
This week, Class 5 and Class 6 had a go at archery, using compound bows and arrows in the school hall! We really enjoyed trying archery and we all would love to do it again. 
Our Year 6 children have worked so hard this week and have well and truly ‘let their light shine’. We couldn’t be prouder of the effort and determination they have applied during SATs week. They have enjoyed a well earned rest today and have had a brilliant time planning the end of year performance- more information to follow soon.
We loved sharing our favourite stories with our buddies this week.
They helped us to read a book and then used their expert knowledge to teach us how to write our own book reviews.

We are having such an exciting afternoon working with Captain Chemistry!
We have been experimenting with electrical circuits and have made our own electro-magnets.
Our next experiement involved designing and making our own wind turbines. Richard tested the power of each turbine by using a hairdryer to act as the wind.
