Parents and children had a great morning celebrating World Book Day and carrying out activities linked to The BFG.
Royal Wedding Celebrations
We have had lots of fun learning about the members of the Royal family today and the Union Flag. We also made crowns and designed our own Wedding Congratulations cards.
Super Skipping
Class 3 and 4 attended the Catholic Schools Skipping Festival on 4th May. We are very proud to say that Anya came third in the Double Bounce, Tia came second in the pretzel and our Terrific Ten team of Jude, Lilly, Crystal, Daniel, Cameron, Eve, Tia, Kennedy, Ella and Sophie won Gold in Keep the Pot Boiling.
Brill Basketball
We had fun improving our ball control skills today with John. It was a lovely, hot day to be outside.
Skipping fun
Gail, from Skipping School, came in to work with year 3 and 4 to practise a variety of skipping skills. She was really impressed with our skills and we had plenty of practise for the festival.
Awesome Area
This week, we have been finding out about area by counting squares. We made shapes that can take up the same area but look different.
Dance Festival
Class 4 showed off all their hard work in dance, performing at the Dance Festival, as Vikings to Carmina Burana (more commonly known as the Old Spice advert music).
Making Easter Cakes
We have had a great time making cakes for the fayre today.
Viking Longships
Look at our fabulous artwork. We used sponges and brushes to paint longships as they sailed across the sea, hopefully not to invade us again!
Chocolate in Science
We had a lovely treat this afternoon in Science. We carried out an investigation to find the amount of time it took to melt chocolate at different temperatures. Afterwards, Mrs Smith let us eat the chocolate – yummy!! This is the sort of Science we like best!
