Class3 enjoyed writing our own superhero stories and creating our own superhero masks!
Graham Morris
Graham Morris, our local MP, visited our school to talk about making a change in our local area and our country. We talked about how we could change laws. Year 3 listened very carefully and enjoyed the assembly.
World Book Day
We enjoyed celebrating the love of reading with our family and friends. Our class story was ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ by Roald Dahl and we had a great time completing lots of art activities for our door.
These activities included:
Painting the character of Willy Wonka.
Designing our own golden tickets.
Designing our own sweets and chocolate bars.
Designing our own oompa lo
ompas.
Creating our own imaginative door that leads us to the ‘Land of Chocolate’.
We would like to say a big thank you for the adults who came to celebrate our love of reading with us!
Super Skipping
Class 3 and 4 attended the Catholic Schools Skipping Festival on 4th May. We are very proud to say that Anya came third in the Double Bounce, Tia came second in the pretzel and our Terrific Ten team of Jude, Lilly, Crystal, Daniel, Cameron, Eve, Tia, Kennedy, Ella and Sophie won Gold in Keep the Pot Boiling.
Skipping fun
Gail, from Skipping School, came in to work with year 3 and 4 to practise a variety of skipping skills. She was really impressed with our skills and we had plenty of practise for the festival.

Our Ancient Egyptian Projects.
Wow! Class 3 have produced some amazing projects.
Miss Brack is blown away by all of their hard work. Well done Class 3!
Internet Safety
Year 6 children worked extremely hard to create posters and information leaflets about staying safe online. We then went to share our work with other children in school, so that we could share the message about keeping safe online. Class 3 children really appreciated Year 6 children sharing their learning and Year 6 really appreciated how respectful and good listeners Class 3 children were. We all learned a lot about staying safe online.
Cracking the Code!
In maths, Class 3 have been learning their 3, 4 and 8 times tables. We then used our multiplication facts to solve worded problems. Miss Brack hid something in the classroom and the children needed to answer different bronze fluency, silver reasoning and gold problem solving activities to get various clues to help them find it. We then had to put the clues together to find the hidden object. Year 3 were very happy to find Miss Brack had hidden some Haribo’s underneath the sink!
Pyramid Building!
Class 3 would like to thank Mr Baldasera for helping us build our pyramids. We have lots of fun!
