Today, our Year 5 children were asked to represent KS1 and KS2 and took a wreath, which was made by children in school, down to the cenotaph.  Year 5 children also had a chance to see the wonderful WW1 display window in Shotton and Mr Cochrane kindly spoke to the children about the importance of remembering our soldiers in this anniversary year. The whole school held a one minute silence at 11 o’clock and all children completed work based around Remembrance Day.

October the 10th was Mental Health awareness day and all of the children in school focussed on learning about keeping our minds, as well as our body, healthy. Each class produced some wonderful work. We really enjoyed taking part in the Shotton Scarecrow Festival. Look at the fantastic scarecrow which some of our Year 5/6 children built with Mr Baldaseras. A group of our younger children then helped Miss Drake to add the finishing touches. Well done to everyone involved.

Today, we opened our new playhub. It was a huge success. Look how much fun we had using recycled materials for play. It was a glorious day for creating.
