Today Class 5 and Class 6 had some special visitors! The team from Wicked Workshops came to work with us and teach us all about Ancient Greece. We took part in games, learnt about myths and legends and held Ancient Greek weaponry. It was a fun-filled afternoon of learning!
Today was Mental Health awareness day. We discussed our feelings and how keeping our mind healthy is as important as keeping our body healthy. Year 6 looked at writing poems based on their feelings and looked at designing positivity caps ! These caps had slogans on to remind us how to be resilient and to keep persevering. Well done Year 6.
I am so impressed with all of the amazing Ancient Greek projects our Year 6 children have completed. The time and effort put into each and every project is wonderful and I hope you all had fun as a family completing these. We spent some time looking at everyone’s projects and we learned a lot from each other.
We had a fantastic time running our ten laps. We helped our buddies with 5 laps and then ran the rest ourselves. Thank you to everyone who has kindly sponsored us.
A big well done to everyone for completing the Fun Run this afternoon.

We had a fantastic time taking part in our live poetry lesson today. The theme of the poems was change and we particularly enjoyed the poems about Autumn.
We have written some advice to other children in school to help them to know how to keep safe. Well done Year 6.
In Design Technology we have been looking at creating our own board games based on Theseus and the Minotaur. Our next step is to write instructions to explain how to play them.
Year 6 children did a fantastic job learning about the heart. They were able to label parts of the heart and explain the functions of key valves and arteries. They were able to look at creating posters together.
