Sharing RE work with Class 2

6 April 2017 By spidrwebadmin

Our RE newsreports were so good that when we heard Class 2 were learning the same thing, we went along to share them. We wrote newsreports about the empty tomb and Jesus’ resurrection. We enjoyed it so much that we didn’t even want to stop for lunch!

Giving reasons for religious actions

4 April 2017 By spidrwebadmin

As part of our learning about Holy week, we asked for volunteers to have their feet washed and to wash feet. Lots of children joined in our last supper retell. Alfie and George acted out the spoken parts of Jesus and Peter. We discussed how each person would have felt and compared this with our own feelings. Most thought that Peter would be embarrassed and we were all agreed that we felt nervous while it was happening. Then we wrote a diary entry to discuss what happened and show feelings, giving reasons.

Talking Egyptians

15 March 2017 By spidrwebadmin

We spent the afternoon discussing what life was like in Ancient Egypt by studying pictures and asking questions

questions

We also played a game of Teacher V Class. The children had to ask questions about the River Nile and if Mrs Smith answered, she got a point. If Mrs Smith couldn’t answer it, the class got a point. It was very close but there could only be one winner – Teacher!

28 February 2017 By spidrwebadmin

We have been learning about ‘personal space’. During our circle time, we discussed how people feel when others enter our personal space and what we could do if we don’t like it.
