Our RE newsreports were so good that when we heard Class 2 were learning the same thing, we went along to share them. We wrote newsreports about the empty tomb and Jesus’ resurrection. We enjoyed it so much that we didn’t even want to stop for lunch!
Giving reasons for religious actions
As part of our learning about Holy week, we asked for volunteers to have their feet washed and to wash feet. Lots of children joined in our last supper retell. Alfie and George acted out the spoken parts of Jesus and Peter. We discussed how each person would have felt and compared this with our own feelings. Most thought that Peter would be embarrassed and we were all agreed that we felt nervous while it was happening. Then we wrote a diary entry to discuss what happened and show feelings, giving reasons.
Easter Cards
Look at our amazing Easter cards. We really enjoyed making them and know you’ll love them when they come home.
It’s wild in here!
The animal man, came to school today. Class 4 had the chance to touch and learn about some of the animals. Mrs Smith was pleased when the spider stayed out of sight during our session. The meerkat was a big hit!
Mother’s Day Liturgy
Class 4 celebrated the gift of mother’s with a liturgy planned and led by themselves. We wanted to show gratitude for all they do for us.
Talking Egyptians
We spent the afternoon discussing what life was like in Ancient Egypt by studying pictures and asking questions
We also played a game of Teacher V Class. The children had to ask questions about the River Nile and if Mrs Smith answered, she got a point. If Mrs Smith couldn’t answer it, the class got a point. It was very close but there could only be one winner – Teacher!
Ancient Egypt
Class 4 went to the Oriental Museum as an introduction to our Egyptian topic. We had a great day learning new facts, dressing up, handling real artefacts and even took part in some drama.
World Book Day

Circle Time
We have been learning about ‘personal space’. During our circle time, we discussed how people feel when others enter our personal space and what we could do if we don’t like it.
Judaism
We had a visitor in school to talk to us about Judaism. We were also able to handle some real Jewish artefacts. We learned lots of new things about the Torah, Bar and Bat Mitzvah’s.
