Archie and Evie have been busy again this week, taking part in physical activities, practising spelling, going on a recycling scavenger hunt and many other things.

Charlie has been working hard on apostrophe for plural possession and he met a new friend on a walk.
He has also been busy creating his own mini garden and practising his mental Maths.
Olly-James has been missing everyone in class, so he has written a kind thought about all his friends.

Charlie has been finding out how cars have changed over time as part of his History work.
Alice has been learning about how the telephone has changed over the years, creating a timeline. She also chose to do her own research and present an information text on Wild Horses. Fab, independent work, Alice.
Evie has been learning about the history of cars and James learned about developments with electricity since Victorian times and how the light bulb has changed.

Alice has been concentrating on her R.E. work: learning about the Sacrament of Confirmation. She has designed a lovely prayer card to give to someone making their Confirmation. She has also been practising her subtraction skills.

Last week, was another busy home learning week. Here are just a few of the things we have done:
- Alice made and sent her neighbours kindness cards
- Charlie sent a letter and gift to his cousin
- James and Archie learned about being a donor and giving the gift of life as part of our Kindness theme.
- Georgia has been exercising and also thinking about kindness.
- Olly-James and Archie did their own artwork inspired by Keith Haring.
- In RE, the children have been reading the story of the Ethiopian meeting Philip and being baptised.
And… look at those times tables scores! All your hard work has paid off! Huge well done to everyone for all their hard work.
Class 4 have been very active this week, using PE to help learn our times tables. Times tables was also needed to help crack the codes to find the hidden messages. Using the Kindness theme, Mrs Smith has been well impressed with the children’s own amazing artwork. Keep up the excellent work, Year 4!
We didn’t forget about Tuesday being Nurse’s Day. We thought about how the NHS has changed over the years to become the best healthcare system in the world. It’s not just the NHS who help us, lots of people do brilliant jobs every day to help keep our country safe.
The amazing work by our class continues with Keith Haring inspired artwork and Science work today.
It’s been great to see our class making the most of VE Day and learning in lots of ways. Many have been making flags and bunting, others have been baking, playing Hopscotch, listening to WWII songs, writing poems and completing artwork.
The children have produced amazing blogs about ancient coins as part of their English this week.
Our fantastic children have also been doing more fundraising, helping others during this challenging time.
James has been learning about the Water Cycle in Geography.
Our pupils are continuing to work hard, practising their tables using Times Tables Rockstars, learning musical notes and about Roman place names in Britain.
As part of our DT and Romans work, Charlie has made his own pizza at home. Hope you enjoyed eating it!
Charlie has been working hard all week, even though it’s been his birthday. Below are examples of his perfectly presented Maths work, DT and Computing, as well as his birthday celebrations.
Archie has been thinking of others this week. Following an act of vandalism at East Durham Trust, he donated £20 of his pocket money to the Food Bank. What an amazing gesture! He has also enjoyed making pizza, a bug home and keeping active by cycling. It’s lovely to see how everyone is being supportive and keeping safe.

The sunshine has helped everyone enjoy being outdoors to keep healthy. It’s great to see everyone keeping their spirits up and supporting our NHS.
