Winter Olympics Celebration Day.

22 February 2018 By spidrwebadmin

All of our children enjoyed taking part in the Winter Olympics celebrations before the half term. Children were able to come to school dressed in their sports wear and they learned about many aspects of the games. Some of our children took part in an Opening Ceremony, some made posters, some researched sports and all of our children learned about Korea, the host city.

We were even lucky enough to receive a message from Olympian Emily Sarsfield who is at the games this year. She was so pleased to hear that we were celebrating the Winter Olympics and she encouraged the children to watch the games.

A fantastic day was had by all in our school.

Macbeth Debates

7 December 2017 By spidrwebadmin

Year 6 children have been planning their balanced arguments to persuade readers if Macbeth was responsible for his own tragedy. We started by writing out topic sentences and then we were able to build on and discuss our ideas further. I was extremely impressed with how well Year 6 children were able to give fair and logical reasons to their arguments  and how they supported their argument with points from the text. Well done!

Children in Need

17 November 2017 By spidrwebadmin

The children have all had a fantastic day celebrating Children in Need.  Everyone came to school dressed in spots, Pudsey T-shirts, onesies, pyjamas and non-uniform. All of the children also received a Children in Need wristband, which they all appreciated, and wore to show their support of Children in Need. We will update you with our total raised soon.

Here are some pictures of our school council, who organised the event today, giving out certificates to people who wore some fantastic outfits for Children in Need.  School Council would like to say that everyone looked amazing today and thank-you for showing your support for Pudsey!

Thank you – Macmillan coffee afternoon.

28 September 2017 By spidrwebadmin

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the coffee afternoon, this afternoon. The cakes were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by visitors and staff.

We had some lovely feedback from many of the guests in school today. They said that everyone had enjoyed coming into school to see familiar faces and to meet some of our new parents and families, whilst supporting a worthy cause.

Thank you to the FOOLs for supporting and running this event.

Wonderful writing all over our classroom !

19 January 2016 By spidrwebadmin

We love to write anywhere and everywhere. Today we starting writing our own book chapter for the Lambton Worm story. We started by sharing ideas together and then we found a comfy place to write.

It was lovely to see how on task the children were and that they were chatting about their writing, even when sitting on the floor,in our reading area and on tables. Writing is creative and should be done anywhere !

I have seen amazing writing from all children ! Well done Year 6.

Class 6’s Blog

5 November 2015 By spidrwebadmin

Welcome to Class 6’s blog! Mrs Pearn and I are excited to share all of the exciting things that happen in our class. Although we continue to work hard; we have had some fantastic experiences so far this half-term. We went to Faith 15, St Bede’s for an E- Safety and Science day, had a day with a Shakespearean actor and went to see Macbeth. We have more exciting trips planned for this term. Year 6 is an exciting year and we hope the children enjoy the many different experiences they are having.

Please take time to visit our blog, where you will see pictures of all children enjoying their learning, information about any upcoming trips or experiences, messages about PE, equipment needed over the week  and letters that have been sent home. There will also be times where I post information to help children with homework.

I would like to take this time to thank you all for your continued support.

Please visit us again soon.

Miss Wright and Mrs Pearn.
