During the week ahead, we will be celebrating World Nursery Rhyme Week in Reception and KS1. Nursery rhymes are important for young children because they help develop an ear for our language. Both rhyme and rhythm help children hear the sounds and syllables in words, which helps them learn to read!

Please help support your child by sharing some rhymes together.

KS2 children will be looking at Fairytales, with a twist.

This week’s winning house team are yellow, with a total of 1037 points.

The winning house team on Friday 11th October was green. Well done everyone.

Each class spent some time learning about mental health and what to do when we don’t feel like our usual selves. The theme this year was #HelloYellow to show that you are not alone so we came together to share and celebrate our learning!

This week’s house team points resulted in a draw between the Reds and Yellows. Well done to both teams on a brilliant start to the year.

Help our school win some money or equipment. Every time you visit Aldi this month and spend £30 or more, collect a sticker and hand it in to school. For 300 stickers, we will receive a free sports  kit. Twenty schools will have the chance to win £20,000 to put towards equipment. Get collecting straight away.

Welcome back to our first term of the new school year. We hope you have all had a good summer. Over the last few months, we have been working hard to revamp our curriculum and we are looking forward to sharing our new ideas and activities with everyone.
