Fairy Tale Ball…

14 February 2020 By spidrwebadmin

We have all had a wonderful day celebrating the end of our Fairy Tale topic.

Parents, grandparents and siblings joined us this morning and helped us to make wands and decorations for the party.

We had a wonderful time dancing with our friends at the Ball and finished off the day eating the fairy cakes that we made yesterday.

What a magical day it has been!

What a wild and windy day…

11 February 2020 By spidrwebadmin

It has been such a wild and windy day today and it made it tricky for us to explore our usual areas.

We didn’t let the pesky wind stop us from having fun though. Instead, we made kites and took them outside to fly. We also had lots of fun making bubble wands and blowing bubbles. We watched and giggled as they flew up into the sky and popped!

Making salt dough…

6 February 2020 By spidrwebadmin

This week we ran out of play dough and felt very sad about it.

Ms Ferguson asked us what we could do about it and some of us thought of making our own.

We found some instructions to follow and Ms Ferguson helped us to set up a play dough making station.

We had so much fun and now we can always have dough to play with!

Planting magic beans!

9 January 2020 By spidrwebadmin

Our topic this half term is “Once Upon a Time,” and this week we have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk.

Today we had a delivery of magic beans and we all followed the instructions to plant our own bean. We made a wish before we planted it and hope that the magic will make our wishes come true!

Our trip to Preston Park…

11 December 2019 By spidrwebadmin

We have had such a wonderful time on our school trip to Preston Park today.

Everywhere looked very Christmassy and we are all feeling very festive now.

We enjoyed so many lovely activities, including ordering sweets in the old fashioned sweet shop, trying on some Victorian clothes and playing wit old toys.

The best part of of our day was learning all about what Christmas was like during the Victorian times. We made Christmas crackers, cards and wreaths.

We have had such an exciting and busy day!

Our first Nativity…

11 December 2019 By spidrwebadmin

A big well done to all of the children in Reception class for being absolute superstars in their very first Nativity play!

They all learned their words by heart and sang so well too.

What a big job for such small people.

Well done! We are all so proud of you!
