We absolutely loved hearing the story of Kevin and Katie’s Christmas adventure.
We loved the characters so much that we wanted to make our own Kevin and Katie carrots.
Our own characters have been on some of their own wonderful adventures today!

The children and their families had a wonderful time working with Adam Bushnell this morning.
The children imagined what they would see in Christmas land and drew some magical pictures.
Everyone had a wonderful time.
This morning families joined us to share Christmas stories with their children.
Thank you to all who joined us on this bitter, windy morning.
We have had such a wonderful time on our school trip to Beamish today.
Everywhere looked very Christmassy and we are all feeling very festive now.
We enjoyed so many lovely activities, including tasting freshly made gingerbread in the bakery, watching cherry drops being made in the sweet shop, riding on the old buses and trams and working in the old school.
However, the highlight of our day was visiting Santa Claus in his grotto. We sat around the cosy fireplace and told Santa what we would like for Christmas, before receiving a lovely present to take home with us. We were also lucky enough to feed Santa’s reindeer.
We have had such an exciting and busy day!
Snow arrived at Our Lady of Lourdes School today and stopped us all in our tracks!
“It’s nearly Christmas!”
“Ooh, it’s freezing!”
“This is amazing!”
“I love the snow.”
“Let’s catch the snowflakes!”
“I’m going to eat them.”

We had an amazing time on Friday celebrating Elmer day.
We started our day with an Elmer parade around school, marching and playing instruments.
We had lots of fun all day taking part in lots of different Elmer activities.
Before home we ended the day with an Elmer party. Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Wigham were very impressed with some of our dance moves.
What a lovely day we had remembering that although we are all different, we should all be treated equally.
