Year 6 children had a brilliant time learning how to have a debate like those carried out in the House of Commons. We also had a fantastic assembly, with Graeme Morris, all about Parliament. We definitely have some MPs in the making!

Working with Age UK.
We had the most amazing time working with people from Age UK today. We learned about different stereotypes people may have about older people and younger people. We then worked in groups to discuss the things older people can do and what younger people can do. We learned that we can all do the same – nothing is impossible for anyone, at any age.
Reading with Class 6
We thoroughly enjoyed reading with our Class 6 reading buddies this morning. Great team work!
Winter Olympics
We had a fantastic day, dressed in our sport wear, celebrating the Winter Olympics. We all enjoyed creating presentations about different winter sports and also about Korea, where the Olympics are being held.
Internet Safety
Year 6 children worked extremely hard to create posters and information leaflets about staying safe online. We then went to share our work with other children in school, so that we could share the message about keeping safe online. Class 3 children really appreciated Year 6 children sharing their learning and Year 6 really appreciated how respectful and good listeners Class 3 children were. We all learned a lot about staying safe online.
NSPCC
Year 6 children worked with the NSPCC to learn about keeping safe. All of the children were extremely respectful and debated important issues around different scenarios where safety may be compromised and how to ask for help if ever faced with these problems.
