This afternoon our buddies came along to read us a story.
We absolutely love seeing our buddies and can’t wait for next week to spend more time with them.

We absolutely love seeing our buddies and can’t wait for next week to spend more time with them.
We have all been partnered up with a buddy from Year 6.
They help us to learn our new routines, with our school dinners and they’re there to play with us at playtime.
We’re all such good friends already!
I have been extremely proud of the fantastic start our Year 6 children have had. We have been learning all about Ancient Greece and have had a brilliant time making Medusa masks. Keep up the hard work Year 6.
The Year 6 Final Assembly was a wonderful event for our children and their families to come together and celebrate their time at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School. The children spoke beautifully about their memories from school and their singing was amazing. Thank you to all of the family and friends who came to support the children this afternoon. We hope that everyone enjoyed coming together to wish our Year 6 children good luck for their future and to enjoy some Afternoon Tea.
Well done to all of our Year 6 children for their amazing ‘Pantastic’ performances. All children demonstrated their fantastic talents and had a wonderful time taking part in the show. A big thank you also goes to everyone who came to watch the performances and supported the children.
Class 6 children had a wonderful time at the Youth Village today. We enjoyed singing, dancing and listening to the messages of the beatitudes. It was a lovely day to reflect on the end of a busy year.
This week is Drowning Prevention Week. All of our children have spent some time during their Sports Week learning about how to stay safe when they are taking part in water sports or playing near to, or around, water.
To share some of the important messages the children have been learning this week, here is a link to the RNLI website. The website provides some important tips about how to keep your child safe around water.

Year 6 children had a brilliant time on our climbing wall during Sports Week. They aimed high and all had a go at facing their fears. Well done!
Year 5 and 6 children had an amazing time on their trip to Northumberland, earlier this week. The first day was spent visiting Holy Island, the second day was a busy day in Edinburgh, exploring the zoo and castle, and the final day took us to Bamburgh to learn about the history of the castle.
All of the children had a fantastic time and their behaviour was superb. It was so nice to have received lots of comments from the Explore4All staff, staff at the youth hostel and tour guides about how respectful the children were.
Here are some pictures from our trip. More will be sent home by the end of term for children who wish to have them.
Thanks to all of the children, staff and Explore4All team for a great few days away.
Four of our Year 6 children took part in the mountain biking competition. Well done to all of them.
