We have had a fantastic morning celebrating our good behaviour!
We had so many fun activities to choose from: yoga, arts and crafts, sport, computing and music.
It really is “good to be green!”

PC’s Andy and Terry from Shotton community police came into visit Class 5. They spent time talking with the children about issues around the local area and how they can be resolved. The children then worked in groups to create a poster about their ‘Dream for Shotton’. Here’s hoping we win the poster competition. It was a great afternoon!
As part of our Benin topic, class 5 made Kente cloth weaving patterns. We chose our own colours and designs. After all that work, we decided that they were so good that we should use them as calendars. We really enjoyed doing this as we listened to some Christmas music! Who knew we had such great artists!
Class 5 had a great time on their first Educational visit to Castle Eden Dene National Nature Reserve. We went as part of our creative topic, Circle of Life, to learn all about plant lifecycles. Steve, our guide for the day, provided lots of hands-on opportunities for learning. We made chloroplast factories, went for a walk through the Dene to find examples of seed dispersal and built our own flowers to demonstrate pollination. Some parents also accompanied us and commented on how much they enjoyed, this amazing experience!
Class 5 now have their own blog.
We will be adding information and images about all the exciting things that happen in our class.
Please come back and read our blog soon!
