We enjoyed taking part in the fun Run as well as lots of activities around World Mental Health Day! As part of World Mental Health Day we focused on resilience and how good we felt after mastering a new skill. We tried oragami!
Class 3 had lots of fun retelling the ‘Stone Age Boy’ using actions!
Miss Brack is so impressed with Class 3’s maths skills! They are continuing to show great resilience and determination when partitioning 3-digit numbers and exploring number lines with a blank piece of card and a paper clip!
“I know the paper clip will be in the middle because 500 is half of 1000.”
“10 is closer to 0 which means it will be closer to the beginning.”
Class 3 were marvellous at counting in 3s!
We enjoyed learning about Poland! We learnt how to say ‘hello’, created a fact file and created some fabulous Polish Folk art!
We enjoyed learning about how different rocks are formed by using starbursts! We learnt about sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks.
We are so lucky to be working with Scout Ed for our outdoor learning this year! We spent some time representing light, air, wind and nutrients using pictures on the ground; created a plant using sticks and made plant imprints using clay!
Class 3 have been working super hard this week! We played a game as a class family to remind ourselves of the different word classes. We needed to act out the verb and adverb for one of our friends to guess!
In maths we have been partitioning 2-digit numbers. We used our part-whole model and dienes to show our learning.
We enjoyed beginning our Stone Age topic by creating our own cave paintings! We thought carefully about the message we wanted to communicate to others!
