Class 3 received a letter from Santa explaining that Rudolph has a cold and Santa needed to work out how much force he may need if Rudolph doesn’t get better. Class 3 were set the task to decorate the sleigh, and investigate how much force was needed on different surfaces.
Class 3 showed great teamwork!
Class 3 enjoyed playing a game of rock, paper and scissors to practise their mental maths skills.
While learning about Baptism, we learnt that the baby and their family receive a baptismal candle. We then created ‘graffiti walls’ to show how we can let our light shine.
Class 3 have begun their forces topic in science by exploring the different forces needed to complete every day tasks such as moving a chair or opening a book.
We have been amazing at uplevelling our vocabulary when planning the magical and mischievous things we would get up to as one of Santa’s elves in the North Pole!
Class 3 have been writing some fabulous stories about a caveman falling into 2020. I wonder what adventures they got up to…
During Maths Week, Class 3 enjoyed making a treasure map of the school yard and guided their partner to the treasure using coordinates!
Class 3 were so excited to learn that a caveman had landed on our school field! We went outside to think about how the caveman would have felt by using our 5 senses. We then took part in some role play hot seating activities.
We began our half term by launching our new mission statement and exploring light across the curriculum. Here are some photographs of our learning about Hanukkah and the Mennorah.
