Class 3 enjoyed learning about the legacies the Ancient Greeks left. We voted in the style of the Athenians to decide which was the most important.

In maths we have been learning about mass and capacity. We created and made our own Harry Potter potions and created them in groups.

This week we have been learning about perimeter during our maths lessons. We began our learning by measuring the perimeter of 2-D shapes before being set the challenge of designing a new school yard using our perimeter  knowledge. Later this week, we worked in pairs to investigate the perimeter of different rectangles.

We enjoyed measuring in mm, cm and m today!

Class 3 have been learning about Pentecost in their RE lessons and enjoyed creating some beautiful artwork to show their learning. Some of them chose the colours of fire to represent the tongues of fire that appeared on the disciple’s heads whilst others chose the colours of wind to represent the gust of wind that the disciples felt when the Holy Spirit came to visit them.

They also spent time discussing how the church celebrates Pentecost.

We began our fraction work by putting ourselves into equal groups – great teamwork everyone!

We have been so excited to be back in our classroom at Our Lady of Lourdes. We have been working so hard in all of our subjects! In Maths, we have been dividing 2-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers using Maths equipment and planning our writing in English, making sure we use a thesaurus to uplevel our vocabulary. We have also began our history topic of Ancient Greece by putting events in chronological order.

Class 3 have enjoyed getting into the Christmas spirit with our friends! We enjoyed our Christmas dinner, playing party games and watching an online pantomime!

We enjoyed making our own Santa headbands and completing the Santa Dash.
