We have been trying really hard in maths this week to multiply 2-digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. We have used partitioning of numbers to help us! This has been very tricky but we are determined not to give up!

In Class 3, we have been reading the story ‘There’s a Pharaoh in Our Bath!’. Today, we worked in small group to create a scene from the story so far. We used these freeze frames to help us think of amazing vocabulary for our recounts as the Pharaoh Sennapod!

We had a great day learning about life and death in Ancient Egypt and we even saw a real life mummy!

We were so excited when it started to snow!  We enjoyed playing with our friends.

Class 3 enjoyed our visit from the PDSA as they taught us about how to communicate with dogs!

Class 3 were fantastic feature spotters! We explored lots of different newspaper reports and identified their features.  We then began to prepare to write our own newspaper reports to find the missing mummy by thinking of different headlines.

We’ve had a Christmas fun filled week! We began our week by researching how other countries celebrated Christmas and created a PowerPoint on the computers. This was then followed by party day and then visiting the theater to see the pantomime. What an exciting week!

In our English lessons, we have been learning about apostrophes for singular possession. Class 3 have decided to become elves and are going to use our English skills to write a letter home from the North Pole! Today, we worked together to plan our adventures as elves to include in our letters.

Class3 enjoyed a walk around Shotton Village and looked very closely at road safety. We talked about what do to when crossing a road and looked around for different hazards. We look forward to creating our own maps of Shotton.
