Today we have been using a number line to subtract one digit numbers from two digit numbers! Look at us go!  

We have been learning the seven continents and the five oceans today!

Did you know the earth is 70% water!?

We used directional language to direct each other around the yard! We used the mathematical language forward, backwards, left, right, half turn and quarter turn! We were amazing beebots!   

We used 2D shapes to create abstract art work look at us working hard!

We love being supermovers using a dance to learn our number bonds!

We are are super writers in year 2! We have been using adjectives to describe nouns and adverbs to describe verbs! We have enjoyed watching videos and listening to sound effects to help us use our imagination! Just look at us go!

This week is maths week and we have started the week with shapes and symmetry! In maths we went on a shape hunt to find what 2D and 3D shapes we could find! There were lots of cuboids and cylinders!  In PE we tried to mirror each other’s movements and balances to create symmetrical images look at what we did!     

We celebrated bonfire night night by watching some fireworks in class!

During the week we have been focussing on light and how to let our light shine! We have created some lovely pieces of art to show this!
