During Anti-Bullying week, Class 2 took part in a liturgical prayer where they listened to the story of the Good Samaritan and how they have the choice to be kind and help others. They thought of one kind word to describe the Good Samaritan during their time of reflection.
We were very excited to receive a special delivery from the DLI! We were given objects that belonged to brave soldiers from County Durham who went to war. Class 2 were very respectful and enjoyed asking lots of questions- well done!
Class 2 have been working together as a class to plan their acrostic poem for the word ‘AUTUMN’. Miss Brack saw lots of descriptive phrases. Well done!
On our class trip we visited a number of special places in the North East. First we visited the Angel of the North. Then, we drove over the Tyne Bride, before walking over the Millennium Bridge. After that, we climbed all the way to the top of Penshaw Monument before ending our day with a picnic and a play in Herrington Park. Everyone enjoyed their day!
Class 2 became teachers today and marked maths questions. They checked if they were right by using their maths equipment and inverse operation!

In our English lessons we began reading our story ‘Mr Wolf’s Pancakes’. We need to write Mr Wolf a set of instructions to explain how to make pancakes. Before we do this, we need to make pancakes ourselves! We enjoyed eating our yummy pancakes!
In our art lessons, we have been studying the work of Antony Gormley. We identified our favourite and least favourite and discussed why.
