We have been learning about why our mental health is important. The theme this year’s theme is ‘Growing Together’. We listened to the story of the The Hungry Caterpillar and thought about how he grew into a beautiful butterfly. We thought about how we have grown and created these into butterflies. We are going to create a lovely classroom door display with our butterflies and we can’t wait to share that with you.

We also enjoyed listening to ‘Reach for the Stars’ and set ourselves some goals for the rest of the year.

We had lots of fun learning about how to stay safe online. We worked together to sort out pieces of information and decide whether they were safe to post online or private and should be kept offline. We then had lots of fun creating our own avatar, username and password; making sure we were keeping our identify safe.

Class 2 were so excited when they found out that we have special visitors in school today. They met two police dogs called Ben and Jett and learnt a lot about staying safe outside and online.

Class 2 were fabulous at spotting and labelling the features of an information text!

We have had so much fun making Chinese lanterns to decorate our school hall and trying Chinese food!

Class 2 worked really hard today to create information books about the different books the Parish use during Mass. Everyone took their time and took pride in their work.

Class 2 have been learning about arrays in their maths lessons to help them learn their times tables. Here are some photographs of our learning!

Class 2 have had a great first week back at school after the Christmas holidays. In Maths, they have been learning to count money and completed ‘contraction surgery’ in their English lessons. Well done everyone!

Class 2 had a lovely time at their Christmas party. They enjoyed dancing, playing party games and taking part in a Christmas quiz! In the afternoon, they enjoyed sitting down and watching an online Pantomime of Aladdin.

On Tuesday, Class 2 sat down and enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner with their friends.
