Students from Sunderland University came to our school to carry out some fantastic science experiments. Here we are testing to see what happens to marshmallows when we heat them and of course eat them…yum yum!

As part of our All Different, All Equal whole school topic, we have been thinking about what makes a good friend.
After a good discussion, we designed a ‘good friend wreath’ with all of the qualities a friend should have.
We had great fun coming to school dressed up for Children In Need. Mrs Hoggarth thought that everyone looked fantastic!
We take voting, for our school council members, very seriously in our school. We even set up a voting booth to make sure we didn’t peek at each others voting slips. It was just like the General Election!
After studying the work of Alexander Graham Bell, we made our own telephones. He invented the telephone if you hadn’t already guessed! We were very proud of our final result and enjoyed testing them out with our partner.
We have been learning about lots of different scientists and inventors in our science lessons. We carried out an experiment, to test how quickly germs spread on bread. Now we know how important it is to wash our hands, especially after we have been to the toilet! We made posters to spread the message to all of the other classes.
We are enjoying our P.E lessons so much that we needed to take a rest and have a class photo! Everyone say cheese!
We have had great fun in art and design this half term. We designed and made our own shields and crowns! Don’t we look amazing?
