We had so much fun celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee!
We have been working very hard to complete our Secret Agent Task training and the time had finally come to put our training to the test! We successfully completed our Secret Agent Tasks and were rewarded for all of our hard work.
Well done Class 2, we are all VERY proud of you!
Class 2 have been writing some acrostic poems about the Queen’s Jubilee and worked together to perform their poems using expression, tone and actions.
We have been working hard in our maths lessons learning about fractions. This week, we have been recognising and finding one third by splitting objects into 3 equal parts.ย
We enjoyed a very special visit from Big Bang Science and taking part in our own experiments!
Class 2 have been working hard to sort 2-D and 3-D shapes in maths. Well done!
Class 2 had a wonderful time at the Washington Wetland Centre. We took part in pond dipping, minibeast hunting and even watched an otter feed! What an amazing day.
To celebrate World Book Day, we focused on our current book called ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. We created moving pictures using the theme of the book and designed a sandwich for Mr Grinling’s delicious lunch! We spent our afternoon designing our T Shirts based on our favourite book. We had so much fun!
We enjoyed celebrating the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes and created some beautiful artwork to represent the grotto.
Class 2 were very lucky today to take part in a Chinese New Year Workshop with Durham Oriental Museum via Teams. They listened really well to a story, created actions to remember the parts of a Chinese Dragon and looked at different artefacts.
