We have had a great day today, raising money for Children in need. We came to school in non-uniform and received a pudsey bear wristband. We have took part in lots of fun activities. 

This week we have been learning about how to be a good friend.  We learnt that we are all different and that it is ok.  We learnt about how our actions can affect other people and then we created a friendship ring, showing how to be a good friend.

We have been learning all about Remembrance Day today. We learnt that it has been 100 years since the end of World War One. We created our own cenotaph and poppy wreath for our prayer table, wrote our own prayers of remembrance and created our own remembrance crosses and poppy pictures. The fire brigade came to visit us today to talk to us about keeping safe on bonfire night. They talked to us about the firework code and how to stay safe.

We had lots of fun at our Autumn disco. The costumes were fabulous!

We have been talking about our feelings: happy, sad, angry, worried, grumpy, excited, fearful and thinking about who could help us with these feelings and why we might feel this way.

We made helping hands to show how we were feeling and who we could ask for help.

We have had lots of fun with poetry for national poetry day today. We performed the poem ‘A night-time adventure’ by Brenda Williams, where we became dinosaurs, soldiers, dragons and bears!
