Wow- what a great musical afternoon we have had.

We have been learning a Latin style song called ‘Round and Round we Go’. We have enjoyed learning,  singing and dancing to the song as well as learning and playing three notes on the glockenspiels- D,E and F.

Well Done Year One – Super Work- I am so proud of you all!

Year One have enjoyed working with the Probots this week. They have worked hard to create a street map, then entered algorithms to tells the probot where to go.

Our families joined us for some reading fun at the end of our busy book day. A big thank you to our families for all your support- we loved showing you our t-shirts and sharing our reading with you too!

Wow- what a fun, busy day we have had!

Year One loved showing their favourite books from both home and the classroom. We had a great time designing, drawing and colouring our special book day t-shirts.

We then looked carefully at the special books and looked at all the interesting words in them.

Well done Year One- what a super day and what super t-shirts too!

We have thoroughly enjoyed reading yet another traditional tale- The Gingerbread Man this week.

We matched the describing words to the different characters.

We really worked hard making our moving gingerbread men in DT. We are so good now at using split pins to make our pictures pivot!

We we also made a great start at making a gingerbread man collage picture using different  materials. Next week, when they are dry, we just need to add the face and buttons.

We all enjoyed learning about the time when St. Bernadette met Our Lady in a grotto in Lourdes, in France. We made our own grottos.

We have enjoyed talking about the Seasons. We wrapped up warm to go outside for a frosty winter walk. We noticed that all the leaves had fallen off this deciduous tree and that its branches were bare. We looked around some more and we found some evergreen trees too!

Our bean seeds are growing very fast- we have been measuring how tall they are with cubes.

We have really enjoyed making our moving plants in our D.T. lessons this week. Our plants grow VERY VERY tall!
