Mrs Smith (the new English Lead) and all the staff are very impressed with the shoe boxes already brought in for the reading challenge. Some have been displayed along the veranda window and some excellent examples are shown below.

Today we were lucky enough to get a visit from a real veterinary nurse from the PDSA.
Tina, the vet, taught us everything we need to know to be the best pet owners.
We had a lovely morning!
Class 3 enjoyed our visit from the PDSA as they taught us about how to communicate with dogs!
Today the PDSA came into school. The PDSA are a charity that work with sick and injured animals across the country. They paid a joint visit to Class 4 and Class 5 to teach us about the important work that brave animals carry out every day. It was great to learn from them about animals and all that they do for us. 
Year 6 have enjoyed learning all about the work that the PDSA carry out. They spent time working together in groups debating the best living conditions for various pets. They have learned so many new and interesting facts.
We have had a very special visitor from the PDSA today. We listened carefully so that we could learn how to look after our pets.
We were very lucky today to have a visit from Tina from the PDSA. We had a great assembly where we found out all about the fantastic work that the PDSA does before taking part in a great workshop on how to look after our pets to keep them healthy and happy

we are really enjoying our new topic this half term, ‘explorers.’ We are having great fun in our space station discovering the solar system this week.
We are extremely proud of our art work linked to our topic ‘Animals of the World’. What a talented bunch we are!
Class 3 were fantastic feature spotters! We explored lots of different newspaper reports and identified their features. We then began to prepare to write our own newspaper reports to find the missing mummy by thinking of different headlines.
