We have enjoyed talking about the Seasons. We wrapped up warm to go outside for a frosty winter walk. We noticed that all the leaves had fallen off this deciduous tree and that its branches were bare. We looked around some more and we found some evergreen trees too!
Our very own beanstalks
Our bean seeds are growing very fast- we have been measuring how tall they are with cubes.
Perfect plants in Year One

What a wild and windy day…
It has been such a wild and windy day today and it made it tricky for us to explore our usual areas.
We didn’t let the pesky wind stop us from having fun though. Instead, we made kites and took them outside to fly. We also had lots of fun making bubble wands and blowing bubbles. We watched and giggled as they flew up into the sky and popped!
Skipping Fun
Class 4 had a great time this afternoon practising skills for the skipping festival.
PSHE Outdoors!
In PSHE, we have been focusing on the skill of listening to each other and working collaboratively together. Each group was given 1 hoop, 1 cone and 1 ball to create a game! We then shared our games with other groups.
Royal portraits…
This afternoon we have been learning about different kings, queens and princesses.
