With schools now being officially closed because of the COVID-19 outbreak, it is likely that there will be an increase of internet use for families and children over the coming weeks. With that in mind, here are some great tips for parents on setting up the right controls and privacy settings to ensure their child stays safe online. Parents Guide to Cyber Safety Book.

Free Reading Books

Collins have released free access to their reading scheme books online- they’re really good quality and follow book bands which most schools use.
As a rough guide:
Reception- pink/red/yellow/light blue
Y1- light blue/green/orange/turquoise
Y2- turquoise/purple/gold/white/lime

Keep your kids active at home

Body Coach, Joe Wicks, today launches his live school work out PE lessons for children who are at home during the coronavirus outbreak.

Joe has vowed to become the ‘nation’s PE teacher’, while schools are closed under government coronavirus advice. His ‘PE lessons’ begin on Monday 23rd March at 9am on his YouTube channel. Go to The Body Coach TV on YouTube and simply join in the 30 minute challenges at any time of the day.
