Virtual School Games 2020
If you are missing not having School Sports Day this year, there is a Virtual School Games Day being held this Friday 3rd July. For more information about how to enter, visit our PE Blog. All bubbles in school are taking part, so join in the fun and help earn points for our school.
Virtual School Games
Durham County have organised a virtual school games day for Friday 3rd July. There are 5 competitions, all of which are designed to be accessible for everyone, using equipment usually found at home.
- The Keepy Up Challenge
- Target Practice
- Throw & Catch
- Gymnastics one foot balance
- Star Jumps

For the more creative out there , you can take part in the Photography Challenge, based around the School Games Values, Determination, Honesty, Respect, Passion, Teamwork and Self Belief (see below).

For every challenge completed and submitted by a pupil, 1 point is earned for our school – max of 6 points per pupil.
The Opening ceremony will take place on the Friday morning at 10am, followed by warm up videos from LK Health & Wellbeing and Joanne Banks Dancers. After this you will have until 5pm on Friday 3rd July to upload your results to the website www.durhamcls-ssp.co.uk/vsg20

We are so proud of the work our children have completed this week to help celebrate 75 years since VE day.

Reading at home
It is very important that children continue to read as much as possible while staying at home. At the moment, some websites are offering free access to child friendly texts. You may need to register using an email address and it only takes a minute.
