16 September 2020 By spidrwebadmin

We thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor learning session today- we found so many different coloured natural objects in our playground!

Then we made our self portraits using natural materials and chalk. Look at all those happy smiles!

A Great Return

15 September 2020 By spidrwebadmin

Let me start with a big well done to all of the children in class 6 for a great first week back. It has been lovely to have all of the children in and showing their willingness to work already.

This week the children have been working hard every morning with maths and English, we have really focused on reading this week and trying to get back up to speed. Alongside our reading in class, all of the children have started using Reading Plus, our new online reading lesson. We are going to continue to use this at school during lessons but the children can also log on at home for some extra reading time.

Everyone seems to have enjoyed our afternoon lessons in the first week back; we have started our history topic of the USA and already completed a science practical in our properties of materials topic. As well as this the children have looked at some work by Vincent Van Gogh in art and taken part in two very active P.E. lessons.

What a busy first week back! Enjoy the weekend Year 6 and I look forward to seeing you all raring to again on Monday.

14 September 2020 By spidrwebadmin

Class 4 practised multi-skills in their PE lesson. After completing a series of stretches, they learned about sprint techniques. In pairs, they watched each others’ technique and evaluated it against the criteria.

First week fun…

11 September 2020 By spidrwebadmin

We have had such a lovely first week in school.

We have played and made lots of friends already!

Ms Wetherell and Miss Smith have been absolutely amazed by how kind and well mannered we all are.

They we also super impressed with our independence and how well we can think of things for ourselves.

We are so excited for next week when we are all together for the first time.
