Our Class is FULL of Kindness

18 November 2020 By spidrwebadmin

This week Year One have been talking about kindness. We have been thinking of all the elderly people who live in Croft House. The children were discussing how they must be feeling during lockdown then we had a great idea to try and make them smile by making them some cards.

Year One your cards are beautiful- I love how you took your time to do your neatest drawing and colouring – Well Done!

Remembrance Day

12 November 2020 By spidrwebadmin

This week we have been learning about Remembrance Day.

We have been thinking about all of the soldiers who lost their lives during the war and added our prayers to the Remembrance tree.

We learned about why we wear poppies and created our own poppy pictures.

We also learned about the animals who helped during the war and wrote sentences to explain how they helped.

“The dog had a cross on him and he helped the poorly soldiers.” – Macie.

“The pigeon carried the messages.” – Daisy.

“The horses helped carry the food. They had to walk for miles and miles.” – Emily.

“The dogs could smell the enemies.” – Thomas.

“They used glow worms for a light.” – Eva.
