Today we have been researching different mini beasts learning all about how they move, where they live and their appearance. Did you know that a snail grinds up it’s food with it’s tongue! That butterflies hibernate and might be in your home! Or that a woodlouse shed it’s shell every two weeks!
Class 3 enjoyed learning about the legacies the Ancient Greeks left. We voted in the style of the Athenians to decide which was the most important.
Today we have been thinking of descriptive language to describe mini beasts in our video caterpillar shoes. We though of some adventurous adverbs to describe how our mini beasts might move around the forest!
This morning we received a special delivery.
A lady brought us a box and inside we found six eggs!
We all wondered what was inside them.
Here are some of our predictions…
* Dragons
* Chicks
* Unicorns
* Crabs
* Ducklings
* Robins

Today we hosted our Annual Ugly Bug Ball but there was not one Ugly Bug in sight!
Everyone came to school dressed in their favourite, colourful clothes and we had everything from beautiful butterflies to pretty, little ladybirds and even some very handsome spiders!
We danced the morning away at the Ball and finished the day with a lovely picnic.
Thank you to all of the parents who made their children look absolutely amazing today!
In maths we have been learning about mass and capacity. We created and made our own Harry Potter potions and created them in groups.
Today we found a bee lying really still in our outdoor area.
We have been learning about how important bees are for our world and knew that we needed to save it.
With the the help of our teachers we were able to give the bee some sugar water and to our amazement we could see the bee drinking it!
It soon started moving around and when we checked later it had flown away!
